Aevoria Survivors Classes

The nine classes

There are nine Aevoria Survivors classes. Each of the Aevoria Survivors classes starts a run with its own abilities, and the upgrade cards you see when you level up grow from there. Abilities cast themselves, so a class decides how you fight more than how you aim.

  • Vanguard: A heavily armored front-line fighter who crushes the swarm with great-sword cleaves, whirlwind sweeps and ground-shaking roars.
  • Justiciar: A light-forged judge with a heavy hammer who lays down holy ground, purges corrupted creatures and shields himself from harm.
  • Marksman: A wilderness hunter with a rapid crossbow who sets poison and blast traps and locks down packs with volleys of arrows.
  • Shadowblade: A dual-blade assassin who slips through gaps in the swarm, tearing at weak points with bleeding cuts and blinding strikes.
  • Oracle: A seer of two minds who blasts evil with radiant bursts and tears at the enemy's will with psionic terror.
  • Stormcaller: A sage of the elements who plants burning totems to hold choke points and chains lightning through crowds of enemies.
  • Arcanist: A scholar of aether, fire and frost who freezes the field with frost novas and calls down flame storms on enemy nests.
  • Dreadweaver: A master of forbidden shadow who wears enemies down with spore curses and rains abyssal fire until the ground burns.
  • Grovekeeper: A guardian of the wild who calls strangling roots, insect swarms and falling starfire to keep the wilderness in order.

Races and factions

Before a class you pick a race. Aevoria has eight races split into two factions. The Sunward Concord, an alliance of light, discipline and craft, holds the Valari, the Kraggan, the Glimmerkin and the Astrali. The Wildheart Pact, a blood oath bound to the wild and the land, holds the Korgath, the Hollowborn, the Brahmor and the Vashari. Each race can only take some of the Aevoria Survivors classes, and the pick screen shows which.

Aevoria Survivors Classes: FAQ

How many Aevoria Survivors classes are there?

There are nine Aevoria Survivors classes: Vanguard, Justiciar, Marksman, Shadowblade, Oracle, Stormcaller, Arcanist, Dreadweaver and Grovekeeper.

Which of the Aevoria Survivors classes is best for beginners?

The Vanguard is the easiest start. Among the Aevoria Survivors classes it is the most direct: heavy armor and wide melee sweeps forgive small movement mistakes while you learn how the swarm moves.

Do I have to aim class abilities?

No. Abilities from all Aevoria Survivors classes cast themselves. The one active key is F from level 5, which casts your class movement spell toward the cursor.

Can every race play every class?

No. Each race can only pick the classes open to it, and the pick screen shows which ones those are. Choose a race first, then pick from the Aevoria Survivors classes it allows.

Can I switch class between runs?

Yes. Each run starts at the pick screen, so you can try a different class every time. The game remembers your last pick so you can jump straight back in.
